Happy Monday, dolls! Sorry for the delay in my post today, I've been moving a bit slow today. We had rain all weekend, so I was lucky to be able to snap these pics in-between showers. We finally started some much-needed projects in our house this past weekend -- painting the nursery and also painting what will be Courtney's new room. I've been collecting some great vintage and thrift items for both rooms, so I'm eager to get everything complete so the decorating can begin (that's the fun part!). We had to remove two layers of dreadful wallpaper in one of the rooms, but hey, that's what rainy days are for, getting things checked off your to-do list!
If you've been following my blog for awhile then you probably already know I have a thing for prints, and all kinds. However, there's one print that I have styled countless times on my blog. A print that I feel is practically a neutral because it can be styled with so many options. What print am I referring to? Polka dots, of course!
I received this polka dot maxi dress from one of my fave vintage shops: Riley Bella Vintage. I've been styling their pieces on my blog for a few years now and each package that arrives on my doorstep feels like Christmas. Nothing gets my heart beating faster then a great vintage piece, and Riley Bella Vintage has so much! My current faves are: this 1980s Floral Peplum Dress, this 1970's Sheer Floral/Dotted Sundress, this 1970's Polka Dot Maxi Dress w/ Ruffles, this 1970's Black and White Mod Abstract Dress, this 1960's Flower Power Beach Cover-Up, this 1960's Pink Embroidered Boho Dress, and this White 1970's Maxi Halter Dress w/ Strawberry Applique.
I chose to style my dress w/ some fun neon accessories for added pops of color. I also layered some of my fave necklaces. Lately I'm all about layering necklaces because it not only gives off a really great look, but it makes some of my older pieces new again.
Pregnancy Update: I'll be 16 weeks on Wednesday. The nausea has backed off a ton and I feel a ton of energy, especially in the evening. Lately I can't fall asleep right away, so I find myself staying up a lot later than I usually would. I'm not sleeping too well either. I'm really uncomfortable, which is kind of weird to me because I'm not real big yet. I'm usually quite tired in the morning, but with all the rain we've had lately it makes it OK to have those lazy lounge days. ;) Right now I can't stop drinking Lacroix Water (in Peach-Pear, Cran-Raspberry, or Orange), avocado toast, shortbread cookies, and fruit, fruit, and more fruit.
Thanks for reading loves! xo

  1. Great to read that you've been feeling more energetic and that you're "indulging" in fruits and avocados, perfect choice for any pregnant woman. I like this outfit a lot, esp. this funky bag and statement necklace!
