#KiplingHoliday Tour

{shirt: Lilac Clothing c/o *Use code: BELLEREADER for 30% off fall styles + denim until 12/11/14! // denim: Lilac Clothing c/o *SO comfy! // "Madelynn" Satchel: Kipling c/o // boots: Old Navy (old, but similar styles HERE & HERE)}

There's no denying my obsession with shoes (I really own way too many pairs to count), but coming in at a close second is most definitely handbags. I own classic styles in your typical camel, sienna, or black hues, while others are fun and vibrant, like a bold snakeskin print or bright cobalt blue. One thing that remains consistent with my handbag collection would have to be that each bag is unique and functional. Through the years I've learned what works for me and what doesn't fashion-wise, and how functional pieces that are also versatile and stylish are worth investing in. Especially now that I'm a busy mom (with another babe on the way) I find myself gravitating even more towards those pieces that can transition easily from outfit to outfit, season to season, day to night. Well, if there's one brand out there that combines style and function, it's undoubtedly Kipling. Kipling has been designing handbags since the 80's, so when given the chance to style a Kipling bag on my blog, it was an instant "yes" for me.

When browsing the Kipling Holiday Catalog, it's really hard to narrow it down to just one stand-out bag. There are quite a few styles that I had my eye on... but, that was until I laid eyes on this beauty: the "Madelynn" Satchel in Digital Wave. If you know my style, then you know I am a print fanatic and the bolder and more eye-catching, the better in my book. Some may say that prints aren't versatile, but I disagree. I think if the print is done in neutral colors it can be paired with just about any look from your closet. I love this tan color paired with the black, and the pops of deep blue intertwined in the print is just gorgeous. The "satchel" style is perfect for a busy mom on the go, like myself. I love that I can wear this bag on my forearm, on my shoulder, or as a cross-body. It's the perfect size. Not too big and bulky, but just enough space to hold my essentials (which usually includes a few diapers and wipes when I don't want to lug around a big diaper bag). The leather is buttery soft and the handbag itself is super light-weight. I just know I'll be reaching for this bag a ton this holiday season, and even after.
