Happy Monday loves -- and welcome back after the holiday!! I hope everyone had a blessed holiday season, spent with friends and family. It was so nice to unplug for a few days and take in the special moments spent with loved ones. Christmas was extra fun this year, since Courtney is now 2 years old and can open presents on her own. She was so excited about everything -- from visiting Santa, to the stockings, and unwrapping gifts. Loved seeing her so happy!
I'm in the home-stretch of my pregnancy. I'll be 39 weeks this Thursday, and I am beyond ready to have this baby. The lbs are piling on (especially after all the holiday grubbing I've been partaking in -- oy), and I go from having spurts of energy to feeling completely tired and useless. Everyday is just uncomfortable. From getting dressed in the morning (oy, tying my shoes is the WORST), to getting out of bed to use this restroom at night (like 10+ times it seems). However, through all the uncomfortable-ness we couldn't be more excited for this precious baby to be born. My husband and I have had dreams throughout this pregnancy (especially lately) that the baby is a girl. I feel like I'm carrying this baby a lot like I carried Courtney, but everyone thought Courtney was going to be a boy. We kind of convinced ourselves that she was, and when the doctor said "it's a girl" it was a huge surprise to us. I feel like I'm going to surprised with either outcome because we really don't know.
Because I've been so uncomfortable -- feet swelling and pants not fitting right -- leggings and sneakers have been where it's at. I've been LIVING in these New Balance sneaks since I got them -- they are super cute (have plaid lining) and go with just about anything in my closet. I love the sneaker trend -- I love seeing them paired with unexpected pieces like dresses, skirts, or nice trousers. It's tomboy chic at it's best. I'm all about easy cardigan sweaters too. Especially with the up and down weather we've been having lately. It's nice to throw on a sweater in the morning and then tie it around my waist mid day if need be.
So, any of y'all get any Christmas gifts that you can't stop gushing about? One gift I received was this Rebecca Minkoff bag and I am seriously obsessed w/ the teal color. It's one of those colors that will really go with just about anything in my closet and will give even the simplest of looks that fun pop of color!

  1. Fantastic sneakers and cardigan! You look great and so stylish, even though dressing up now is not as easy or comfortable as before, but you are doing very well despite all the "odds" ! :)
