If you've been following my blog for awhile then you probably know I like to shake things up a bit. My style is indeed eclectic. One day I'll be wearing a boho chic look, while the next I could be in a something edgy, minimal or classic prep style (the list goes on and on). I love experimenting with different styles and trends, and I honestly don't see that changing anytime soon. Through experimenting with fashion, you learn what you like, what you don't like and what works best for your body type. Sometimes I learn the hard way and look back on some of my past looks and want to cringe, but then I'm reminded that it's all about having fun with fashion. It really shouldn't be taken so seriously. This dress from Tobi is one of those styles that I'm stepping outside of my comfort zone with. Let's face it, I'm a mom to two little ones, so I'm very rarely going out with the hubs or with girlfriends. If I do, it's to grab sushi or sip on some wine, nothing too crazy ;). This dress is definitely meant for a fun night out. I've always wanted to rock a deep v-neck style dress on the blog. I've seen it on so many other girls (including one of my best friends), so when I saw this cute sheath dress from Tobi (in the prettiest pink hue) I just had to give it a shot. I'll be honest again and say that it's definitely a style that I wouldn't normally rock, but it was so fun to style for this shoot. I paired this dress with my with one of my fave pairs of shoes -- these suede platforms. They're from 2011 and I just can't part with them. I love their retro glam feel. I finished the look with some layered necklaces that I can't get enough of as of late -- this DIY velvet choker, a delicate lariat necklace and my new fave gold collar necklace by Jules Smith via Favery.com. This gold collar adds instant chic-ness to any look. You can rock it with a v-neck tee and a pair of jeans, or dress it up like I did with a pretty dress or blouse. It even looks great when it's peeking out of a collared shirt. ;) I love that it's adjustable too, so you can wear it higher or lower on your neck. I'll be styling it again this week, so stay tuned for that. P.S. you can get $25 off this collar (or any piece at Favery.com) w/ code: BELLE

So tell me, how do you experiment with fashion? Have you ever worn anything that was out of your comfort zone? I'd love to know!
