I am SO excited for tomorrow [Saturday], as my hubby and I will be throwing our house warming party. It's going to be so fun! We have quite a few guests coming...and I'll be making some yummy appetizers. Please stay tuned for some pics!
As for today's post...I've been on a green kick lately. I've realized a lot of my newest additions to the closet are green. Which, makes me smile from ear to ear, as green is my fave color on earth. But seriously...with the military inspiration and the vintage-inspired looks out there I've had new jackets, cargos, skirts, purses, and shorts all green. These pair of shorts aren't military, but they are vintage [which, as you know is my fave clothing]. I had been on the hunt for some vintage inspired shorts [such as the scalloped shorts out there], but I wasn't too fond of the price tag. SO! I did what I do best, and hit my vintage/thrift shops to see what I could find. I found this pair of emerald green shorts in a goodwill in Venice, FL. My Granny hemmed them up a bit for me...I wanted them long...but they were way too long before she hemmed them. My top was a buck! And I purchased it from a thrift/consignment shop in Myrtle Beach. Great purchase, huh? I love the idea of a knit/sweater that is sleeveless. So versatile. I love the color and the subtle flower print too, really makes it special.
