Not only do they sell AHMAZING clothing and accessories, but they also do personal fashion styling, private styling parties, closet revamping, fashion shows, photoshoots and more! {What a fun job, eh?}
I was really excited to find that these ladies live in my own backyard of St Petersburg, and I was super excited when they agreed to do a giveaway with my blog!



Q&A with Aneesa & Marianne (the owners)


1.) Tell us a little about "The Trunk Stylists," your shop, and the services you provide.

The Trunk Stylists is a company owned by the fashionable duo, Aneesa and Marianne. We share our knowledge and love of fashion with our clients by providing clothing and accessories through our Mobile Boutique at Styling Parties or Special Events. We also provide a multitude of styling and shopping services to ensure a stress-less shopping experience. Services include: personal styling, personal shopping, gift shopping, photo-shoot styling, makeover packages, and wardrobe revamping.

2.) What inspired you both to create such a company?

We met years ago while working in a local boutique in downtown St. Petersburg. While working there, we quickly became friends and constantly shared ideas about fashion and business. With Marianne's business experience and Aneesa's knowledge of the fashion industry, the idea was born for a Mobile/Online Boutique and Styling Company.

3.) What inspires you the most when it comes to fashion and styling?

Aneesa: When it comes to fashion and styling I'm inspired by movies, art & animation, and music. For instance, Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland created a magical land with fun, bold colors and dramatic costumes. Those playful, surreal images of fantasy influence the way I think about fashion. This is also why I'm attracted to abstract art! Thinking outside the box helps build one's own originality.

Marianne: Art! I'm inspired by the different color schemes artists use in their creations. Old Movies! You can put together interesting, original looks just by going back in time a bit and revisiting some classic movies. Although I wouldn't call it a classic yet, Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead was one of my fave movies back in the day, you MUST revisit that soon. Music! Rock Stars especially are always a great source of inspiration.

4.) What are your favorite trends of the moment?

Sunny Yellow, Oversize Rings, Jersey Layer Scarves. We also like the Eccentric Ladylike style that is coming into fashion lately. Mixing patterns & prints, bold solid colors, and other quirky combinations can come out looking really sweet and pretty if put together the right way.

5.) If you had to pinpoint each of your personal styles, what would it be?

Aneesa: Classic and Chic. I am known for always wearing solids, it's just easy! But I am huge on accessories, so I always dress up my solids in a fun way.

Marianne: Tough question. I suppose minimal, with a bohemian flare... I have a 5-year old son, so I tend to keep it simple when dressing. Funky skirts with a basic top, Dresses (super easy for a mom!), and sandals are all staples in my wardrobe. I keep it light on the accessories because they tend to get in the way when running after an energetic child!

6.) What is your favorite clothing item you own? And what is your favorite item in your shop at the moment?

Aneesa: my JBrand jeans and black Bella v-neck. My favorite item that we carry right now is the antique silver elephant earrings...obsessed with elephants right now!

Marianne: My favorite clothing item (right now) is my Colorblock Knit Dress with Pockets, which also happens to be an item that we sell! It's super comfortable and great for a gal on the go! Other than that, my favorite item in our shop is our super soft and comfy Peacoat!

7.) Any quick fashion or styling tips?

Whatever your style is, make sure you feel comfortable. Our number one question to clients is "how do you feel?" It's never a good look when you are constantly pulling up or down on your clothing. Make sure it fits you right and you feel completely comfortable before you walk out that door. If comfort and fit is something that you are having a problem with, give us a call, we can help! P.S. Aneesa says: Sometimes you just have to suck it up when it comes to heels. Wearing those amazing heels can hurt, but look soooo good! :)
