It's official! I'm finally trying out some maternity-wear and I have to say, I'm pleasantly suprised by the outcome! My sweet friend Tiffany sent me this dress to style from her 9MonthsMaternityBoutique, and at first I just wasn't sure if it would look good on me. Usually when I look at maternity dresses they don't seem to flatter the womans body and they look more like tents than they do dresses. However, this dress had me smiling from ear to ear the moment I put it on! For one, it's black ... I mean, hello -- I'm feeling huge right now and we all know how flattering black is on all body types. Secondly, it's pleated -- LOVE anything pleated! I also loved how it was open and flowy. That means comfort (# 1 when you're prego), and also means versatility with belts. I decided to style this dress in an extra fun way by pairing it with a camo jacket and one of my fave vintage belts. Really loving camo right now and I think it looks even better when paired with extra girly pieces like this dress. The juxtaposition of masculine and feminine just works perfectly! Don't you agree? I can't wait to style this beauty in other fun ways!
