This past Saturday the hubs and I took Courtney to her first fall festival -- the Pumpkin Festival at Hunsader Farms in Bradenton. Courtney has had a respiratory virus since last Thursday :( and I have a bad cold myself, so it was nice to get out in the fresh air over the weekend. She loved the animals and especially loved the pumpkins -- oh, and scooby doo was pretty sweet too! ;) We snacked on some yummy kettle corn, caramel apples, and drank delicious fresh squeezed lemonade. It was a great day! I wore a comfy outfit that also included some essentials for a fall festival -- some denim cut-offs, check... a plaid shirt, check.... some chic boots that are durable enough for the mud and muck, check... an easy bag, check... and finally some cool shades, check! ;) We all know a striped tee is that staple every gal should have in her closet, and really, the plaid shirt is too! I'm discovering more and more ways to wear the plaid trend this fall, and I especially love the simplicity of tying a plaid shirt around your waist. These Chooka boots are a new fave for me. It's a chic riding boot and a durable rain boot all in one. Fall is all about festivals and getting outdoors in the fresh air, so these boots arrived at my doorstep at the right time. I loved how comfortable they were, and I didn't have to worry about getting them dirty. I can wipe them clean in an instant! I love the side buckle too, they have such a classic look to them. I know I'll be getting a ton of wear out of them.
