{Vintage Faves} Tanya from November Grey's Vintage Red Shorts

TanyaDempsey1

Next up in the vintage guest post series is Tanya from the blog November Grey. Tanya is a sweetheart and one of the first girls I became friends with through blogging. You might recognize her from our "Chain Gang" Vintage Swap series. She has a great eye for vintage and knows how to transform any vintage piece. She has taught me that all you need is a sewing machine and an imagination and you can turn any vintage piece into something on trend and fabulous. Be sure to check out her blog November Grey for more vintage inspo -- AND, check out her latest and greatest website Séchoir where she does on-camera styling! P.S. It's her birthday today, so head on over to her site and give her some love! ;)

"I'm so excited to be doing a guest post on Belle de Couture! Jen is one of my favorite blogging buddies because she is simply fabulous, makes EVERYTHING look good, and inspires me in so many ways.
I've loved vintage and thrift store shopping since I can remember and believe that style can be found anywhere if you're willing to look. A perfect wardrobe is a mix of high end, affordable brands, and those gems you score off the beaten path.
I found these vintage red shorts while shopping at a thrift store with a friend and I was obsessed with the high waist and little patch detail. However, they were almost to my knees in a very unflattering length. I simply had them chopped and hemmed to a shorter length and my favorite vintage item was born!
It's the best few dollars I have ever spent for my closet and I think if I ever lost them I would cry. I have seriously worn them in so many ways, so many times over the past few years. What's even better? They are unique and one of a kind and you won't see them on anyone else! I even featured them in my new video series, Séchoir. (See below) Enjoy!"
