{Vintage Faves} Victoria from Thrift Juice's Vintage Coat

We're rounding up the series with Victoria from the blog Thrift Juice! She's a vintage fanatic like myself, and has the best of luck when thrifting because she finds some killer pieces! I've always admired Victoria's ability to style an outfit head to toe with thrift clothing and look like a million bucks. She really does make it look easy. Her style is very versatile as well, which is another reason why we click! Be sure to head on over to Victoria's blog, Thrift Juice, to peep out her other amazing vintage outfits!

"Hey Ya'll! Firstly, can I just say how excited I am to be a part of Belle de Couture's Vintage Guest Post Series! I absolutely love blogging about my thrifted treasures so when Jen asked me to contribute to this series I was in like a 'dirty 'ol thrifted shirt'!"

"I am obsessed with these block heeled booties from Zara! So comfortable and chic and still available on line which is awesome!"

"If you asked me to pick my most prized thrifted piece I would be completely stumped. After twenty years of thrifting, my closet is jam packed with the most amazing one of a kind pieces - I couldn't possibly play favourites. You see, I am a bit of a fashion hoarder, so needless to say, editing poses a bit of a problem for me. I'm all like, "I'll give you those high-waisted Gloria Vanderbilt cords when you pry them from my cold dead hands!" Anyone else with me in this? I digress."

"My love for vintage and thrifted clothing will always hold a special place in my heart. in fact, I am a firm believer that everything old will be new again (urrr, someday) and the key to keeping a thrifted piece modern is in the styling. Take this 80's inspired thrifted coat I am sporting today for example. At first glance it looks like something hiding at the back of your parents closet....you know, that 'dress coat' your father pulls out for weddings and 'special occasions'. Yikes! When thrifting, the key is to overcome your initial gag reflex and spot the potential. It just so happens that oversized Menswear inspired coats were all over the 2013 Fall Runway last year. These broad shouldered, large lapelled, beasts were styled with sleek trousers, block heels and simple accessories. Taking a cue from the Fall runway, I paired down the styling to elevate the coat and make it chic and modern."

So, I'm sad to say we've reached the conclusion of this fun lil vintage guest post series. I loved featuring these sweet girls and their impeccable vintage style on my blog, and they really helped me out with providing some great content for the blog while we get settled in our new home here in Niceville, FL. I hope y'all enjoyed the series as much as I did! Hopefully the vintage looks inspired y'all to visit your local thrift store to see what treasures you can find!
