Plaid Pencil Skirt

{chambray shirt: Old Navy (similar styles also HERE & HERE); skirt: vintage (similar styles below); boots: Shoemint; fur collar: vintage (similar styles HERE and HERE); necklace: vintage (similar styles HERE and HERE; bag: vintage Gucci; lipstick: Maybelline "Plum Jewel"; watch: Michael Kors}

This wool plaid pencil skirt was a vintage find a year ago. I was obsessed with the plaid print and loved that it was a pencil skirt, but it was a tad too big for me. I took it to my alterations lady before we moved and she took it in and now it fits like a glove! That's one thing I absolutely love about thrifting is that I can find an amazing vintage piece that may not fit right, and by taking it to an alterations place and spending a few bucks to get it nipped and tucked it can turn into a piece that was made for me.
I love that it's made of thick wool material too, so I can have bare legs in the winter and it still keeps me nice and warm.
I'm finally getting around to wearing this Shoemint lace-up boots. I fell in love with the vintage appeal of them and the color. I think they look so great when worn with socks (especially chunky socks) and skirts.
I hope everyone is having a fab week so far! Stay tuned for a giveaway with Everly and Ace tomorrow!
