Denim 4 Ways // HP x360

I'm super excited to announce that I've partnered up with HP and Meghan Trainor to highlight the new and really awesome Convertible PC, the HP x360. This PC is quite different from all the rest because it works in 4 modes: laptop, tablet, tent and stand. Oh, and did I mention that it's also a touch screen AND is super light-weight? In highlighting the HP x360's 4 modes, I'm sharing with y'all 4 different ways to wear denim.

My first look is effortless, but totally chic and happens to be a style I wear on the regular: the boyfriend jean. I love the edginess and "borrowed from your boy" look that these jeans have. I always opt to pair them with with fun, girly pieces like a faux fur vest or fun top to help balance out the entire look. Here I paired my boyfriend jeans with a vintage silk shirt, a faux fur vest, and a great pair of pumps. I finished off my look with some fun accessories -- an initial belt, a pair of classic aviators, and a vintage dark green bag for a pop of color. I could easily swap my pumps for a pair of ballet flats for errands around town, for a more comfier look. You really can't go wrong with a pair of boyfriend jeans and a silk shirt, y'all.

My second look is super fun and also happens to be the perfect mix of edgy and chic. I paired a bright fit and flare dress with a denim moto jacket. The denim moto jacket is a twist on the classic jean jacket and looks awesome worn open or zipped up. I love the juxtaposition of pairing it with dresses or skirts. This fit and flare dress has been in my closet for years, so I decided to make it new again by pairing it with this zipped up denim moto jacket. It now looks like a skirt instead of a dress. I added a pair of OTK boots, a vintage studded bucket bag, and a fun pair of sunnies and I was out the door. I encourage y'all to wear your denim jacket over a dress, and try zipping it up for a fun change.

For my third look I went with a vintage denim shirt dress -- super comfy AND chic! I love the classic style of this dress. It can be dressed up or down with ease and is great year round. For this look I wanted to play up the lighter wash of the denim by pairing the dress with a trendy white pump. I didn't want to add too many accessories to take away from the simplicity of the look, so I opted for a vintage brooch versus a statement necklace or scarf. I added a swipe of red lipstick, a pair of edgy sunnies, and a great bag to complete my look. It's polished, but still fresh and effortless.

My final denim look is a style that a lot of people tend to shy away from -- denim overalls. Overalls really are the epitome of effortless dressing and are no longer just for the farm folk. I especially love the challenge of dressing them up versus the typical dressed down look. For this look I paired my denim overalls a classic white shirt that I buttoned all the way up, and one of my fave vintage blazers in a bold bright print. I played up the boho vibe by adding a pair of ankle boots, a camel colored wool hat, and fun tribal accessories. I hope this look inspires y'all to give overalls a chance if you haven't already.

Now back to the HP x360... since receiving it I've spent hours playing around with the different modes. The tent mode is perfect for showcasing my work at meetings. My favorite mode though, would have to be the tablet. I just think it's the coolest thing that the laptop converts to a tablet in one easy step. It's been especially perfect for cuddling on the couch with my toddler. We love to watch YouTube videos together. The laptop is equipped with Beats Audio, so the sound is amazing! Plus the touchscreen makes it super easy for my daughter to use, and she's only 2!

This February and March HP is hitting the road with Meghan Trainor for her US music tour, which spans from Vancouver to Nashville. HP's camera crew, along with Meghan Trainor fans from her "Lips Are Movin" video, will be posting fun videos along the way. You can follow along the tour and catch all the behind the scenes episodes by following @HP and hashtag #BendTheRules, as well as the HP Meghan Trainor That Bass Tour landing page HERE.

  2. That chambray shirtdress is perfection, & I had never thought about using a brooch on the pocket-but you really classed it up with that :)
