Styling Black For Summer w/ Tieks

{tank: Free People (also here and here) // jeans: Parker Smith c/o (*on sale here!) // vest: vintage (similar under $50 here, similar under $100 here, similar under $115 here) // flats: Tieks c/o // bag: Ellen Vicius c/o // sunnies: Saint Laurent // earrings: Bling Jewelry c/o}

There's nothing more classic than the color black. It goes with everything and it's often that color we reach for the most when purchasing shoes or handbags. The black ballet flat has always been a true closet staple, and Tieks are my absolute fave. They're super comfy and they have other great colors and prints to choose from!

Living in the hot Florida sun, I find myself wearing more colors and prints than the color black. It's not that I don't love black, it's just that I crave an outfit that will keep me cool in the hot heat and high humidity. A couple ways I incorporate the color black in the summer is with a simple light-weight tank (the one I'm wearing is perfection -- I own it in a lot of other colors) or a sleeve-less trench or vest. These two pieces allow me to wear black without having to sacrifice keeping cool. I also think pairing these pieces with white really helps to keep the look fresh. Although, I think pairing black and white together is something you can do year round -- there's nothing more chic!

What are some ways you style black for summer? I'd love to know!
