Kilim Scarf

{dress: BlankNYC c/o *Under $100! // ankle boots: Old Navy (old, but similar style here, here and here) // scarf: Coldwater Creek c/o // bag: Patricia Nash c/o // belt: vintage Ralph Lauren (similar) // pin: vintage // bracelet: Bling Jewelry c/o}

Oye! The temps in Florida are still in the upper 90's, y'all -- FALL WHERE ARE YOU?! But that didn't stop me from styling this new scarf. I just had to -- I mean, look at this amazing southwest print and these gorgeous desert colors!! So good, right?! The blanket scarf is a must-have this season, if you didn't already know. It was THE scarf to have last year and looks like it's making a come-back because I'm already seeing them popping up in stores and on other fellow bloggers. There are so many different ways to style the blanket scarf, and there are so many different colors and patterns to choose from. One of my favorite ways to style a scarf is to belt it. I think it's a great way to add a pop of color to your look and it's also a great way to dress-up a simple shirt dress. I also love belting it over blazers (see that oldie but goodie outfit here). My shirt dress was a summer staple, but by belting it with a cozy scarf I can easily transition it into the cool fall months. It's all about getting more wear out of those summer pieces you love. For the colder winter months I can swap the ankle boots for some OTK boots and then add a leather jacket. Who doesn't love versatility, right?

By the way, did you see above that this scarf is from Coldwater Creek, y'all?! I have to be honest and say that it's not typically my kind of store, but lately they're really surprising me with some great pieces for fall. I also love this scarf wrap -- so chic, right?!
