Styling two new faves from Banana Republic today. Both of these pieces can be dressed up or down. Wear them to the office, or out to grab dinner on the weekend. They’re both versatile and totally classic, so you can definitely wear them again over time. I said it before in my recent BR post (peep it here), and I’ll say it again – Banana Republic will always be a classic brand for me. I remember wearing BR as far back as middle school, and I always love how their pieces are on trend, yet timeless. When you purchase a piece from BR you know you’re getting a quality item that you can wear over and over again.

Um, can we talk about this awesome print on this skirt? Y’all know I’m a gal that’s all about the prints and this skirt just screams fun. I thought real hard about what to pair this skirt with. At first I wanted a mixed print look with a striped shirt (and yes, that would be so cute), but ultimately decided on this chambray shirt. Chambray is always an easy go-to when you’re stumped on what top to pair with a bottom. It goes with pretty much anything. I kept things matchy matchy (which is so on trend this season) with vintage denim heels and a pretty blue cross-body bag (love this hydrangea color!). Style tip: swap heels (or sandals) for a pair of sneakers (think all-white Adidas) for a look that’s comfortable and totally on trend.

These pin stripe pants are 55% linen -- SO perfect for spring and summer. Love the pin stripes (always a sucker for stripes) and the cropped style is too good. I will always choose a cropped style over a regular length any day. Even when it comes to denim. I think the look is uber chic. I kept things pretty simple by pairing these pants with a silk black tank (another must-have for any gal’s closet), and a black bag and shoes. Simple and chic. Throw a blazer over this look for chillier temps (or to the office), and swap the heels for flats for a more laid-back vibe.

What do you think of my two looks? Which one is your fave? I’d love to know! xx

  1. First outfit is so "you", so colourful, edgy, feminine while the 2nd one is more masculine, minimalistic yet very elegant. :) Well done!

  10. Jen, you look ah-mazing in BOTH these outfits, which are styled to perfection and I love the different vibe each has. That skirt in the first one is such an eye catcher, perfect for spring and summer and I love how you paired it with the chambray top and those floral sandals are so cute! The second look is so chic and stylish, I love the laid back, yet put-together vibe it has. Thanks so much for sharing, beautiful, and I hope you're having the best start to your week so far!
