Summer Style with Alex and Alexa {Part 1}

If there’s one season I love to dress my girls in the most, it’s most definitely the summer time. Y’all know I love prints and bold, bright colors and the summer definitely calls for all of that.

I grew up being the only girl with 3 brothers AND a tomboy for a mom, so I think God definitely blessed me with 2 girls that I could have fun with. I love dressing them up in cute looks each season.

Last week we took the girl’s to Pier Park in Panama City and spent the day doing everything that they love. They rode on the merry-go-round, ate their favorite food at lunch, and at the end of the day we treated them to a surprise -- since they were so well behaved. Courtney’s latest obsession are Monster High dolls and of course, Shopkins. If you’re mom to a little one that loves Shopkins, I feel your pain. ;) Bridgett, on the other hand, is happy as a lark with a baby doll that she can dress up and feed.

Since it was a special family outing we dressed them in some fun new clothes from Alex and Alexa -- an online shopping destination that carries the cutest stuff from infants to children. P.S. You’ll basically wish everything was in your size. Courtney is my oldest (she’s 3 ½ years old) and is already wanting to dress herself every day. I love that she’s expressing such an interest in her clothing at such a young age, but if it were up to her, she would be in her Hello Kitty Halloween tutu, a striped pink & white tee, and red & blue polka-dotted rain boots everyday! Quite the combo, right? Haha. Bridgett is still at the stage where she’s perfectly content wearing anything her mama puts her in (if only this lasted until she was 16).

Although dresses and skirts are Court’s fave styles to wear, I think I opened her eyes to a fun new style that’s comfy and just as fabulous – the playsuit. This Chloé playsuit fits her so well, and the style is no fuss which makes us both happy. Don’t the colors and print just scream summer? Also love the light-weight fabric. It keeps her nice and cool during the hot and humid temps we have here in Florida. This little cat print dress Bridgett is wearing is by Little Marc Jacobs, and the print could not be more perfect for her. She loves cats and loves to “meow” all around the house while chasing our cat, “Cali”. She was so excited to wear it! I love how easy and comfortable t-shirt dresses are and this one is too fun.
