Wines of Garnacha

Happy Monday, lovelies! I hope your day was fab! Mine was busy (per usual), but I finished the day with one of my fave treats -- a good glass of WINE!! Raise your hand if you're a wine-o like me! ::insert monkey emoji covering eyes::: I love to try out new types of wine. This is the first time I've ever tried wines created from the Grenache grape. Have y'all ever heard of Garnacha wines? Garnacha wine originates in Eastern Spain and grows in the craziest conditions -- think hot, dry and windy climate. A wine that sustains those conditions has got to be great, right?!

Garnacha was once used as a workhorse variety -- where it was blended with other grapes to produce some of the most renowned wines. In the last 20 years, a new generation of winemakers have taken a new approach to producing Garnacha varietal wines, including Rosé!

I paired a Red Garnacha wine with one of my fave meals to pair red wine with -- spaghetti and meatballs! What could be better, right? Well, maybe some sweet Cannolis at the end. ;)

The taste was rich and a perfect balance of flavors, with a smooth texture, and fruit-filled finish. Not only are Garnacha wines delicious, but the affordable price (valued at $10-$20 a bottle) is making these wines a force to be reckoned with.

I also discovered that Grenache is the most widely used grape to make Rosé wine -- my favorite wine of all!!

In the meantime you can check out these high-quality wines at the Wines of Garnacha site. If you've tried Garnacha wines before I would love to know your thoughts in the comments below! xx
