I’m really excited to be teaming up with CVS Pharmacy on some beauty posts where I’ll be sharing some of my favorite drugstore beauty products. For my first post, I’m featuring some great natural beauty products that are all available at CVS – from skincare to makeup! Now that I’m in my 30’s, it’s especially important for me to try to stick with as many natural beauty products as I can – especially when it comes to skincare. I’m always in awe of the selection of beauty products that are available at CVS. Dozens of new products are hitting the shelves every month! From top brands like NYX, L’Oreal, Revlon and even boutique brands such as BioDerma, Carol’s Daughter and Burt’s Bees. CVS also has brands that are exclusive to them: Nuance Salma Hayek (which I’ve tried and LOVE), Promise Organic, Makeup Academy (MUA), Beauty 360, and more! CVS even has a dedicated section specifically for natural beauty products!
The first natural beauty product I picked up was the Derma e Glycolic Cleanser. I was in need of a new cleanser and this one was an instant fave for me. It contains Glycolic Acid and papaya, which helps to naturally exfoliate the skin helping to renew skin's texture and fight aging.
For my second skincare product, I went with Yes to Blueberries Age Refresh Eye Firming Treatment. My under eyes are one of my biggest problem areas. This product is 95% natural and it helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles with Paracress Flower. It’s nice and cooling and instantly refreshes my eyes.
Next, I moved on to the makeup department and I picked up the Burt’s Bees BB Cream. I love this stuff because it combines skincare with makeup! It moisturizes my skin, protects my skin with SPF 15, and helps to even my skin tone. It also gives off a nice natural glow on my cheekbones. It’s lightweight, but still provides good enough coverage. It’s perfect for every day!
This next product is one that I’ve used before and is an all-time fave of mine. It’s the Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips All-in-1 Custom Nude Palette for Face & Eyes. It’s awesome because you can use it to highlight and contour your face, as well as an eye-shadow! I’ve used quite a few highlight and contour palettes (some from really expensive designer brands) and this is by far my favorite!
You can’t finish off a makeup look without a good lip and when I saw Burt’s Bees Lipstick I knew I had to try it. It’s a fairly new product by Burt’s Bees and it won Allure’s Best of Beauty Award for 2016, so you know it’s good! It contains 100% natural ingredients and left my lips feeling moist and hydrated, but had great buildable color. I also love that the packaging is made from 60% recycled materials.
Lastly, I couldn’t complete my look without some bold lashes and Physicians Formula Organic Wear 100% Natural Origin FakeOut Mascara did the trick! This is the 1st EVER mascara with 100% natural origin lash extension fibers and it separated my lashes and gave them great volume without irritation. It also left my lashes feeling soft and not hard or brittle. Definitely a new fave of mine!
I think a lot of us gals tend to think that a beauty product needs to be designer or have an expensive price tag to be promising, but through my years shopping at CVS I’ve learned that this is a huge misconception and could not be farther from the truth. It’s all about trying new products and seeing what works for you, and with CVS Pharmacy’s 100% satisfaction Beauty Guarantee, you can enjoy risk-free shopping! If you’re dissatisfied for any reason, you can return the beauty product (opened or unopened) along with your receipt for a full-priced refund, no questions asked! If that 100% Beauty Guarantee isn’t enticing enough, the ExtraBucks® Rewards make shopping at CVS even better! With every $50 cumulatively spent on qualifying beauty products, you can get $5 ExtraBucks® Rewards to use on future purchases at CVS. I’m a CVS ExtraBucks® Rewards member and I scanned my card upon entering the store and received 3 coupons that saved me close to $30 on this beauty purchase! Total SCORE!!
