Luminous Skin with Palmer's Coconut Oil Formula Skin Care (+ Giveaway!)

If you're a long-time follower of mine then you probably already know that I love to try out new beauty products, especially when it comes to skincare. The older I get the more I am aware of what my skin is lacking and I'm always eager to try out new products that can help rejuvenate it and bring it back to life. One thing that drives me nuts about my skin is how dry it gets. I've talked about my skin issues on the blog before -- how I've battled with acne my entire life (been on Accutane twice) and how I'm battling with hormonal acne since having children, scarring, and sun spots. My skin used to be pretty oil, but now I'm in my 30's and over time it has become super dry. A year ago I started to incorporate oils into my skincare routine and it has worked wonders for me. So when I found out that Palmer's (a trusted brand that I've been using for YEARS) had a skin care line, I just had to try it!

I'm all about incorporating healthy routines into my life that will benefit me inside and out. At the top is my consumption of water. I've never been a big water drinker growing up, but since I had my children (and lived on Lacroix and lemon water) I am hooked. If I don't drink water throughout the day I immediately notice it in my skin. I've fallen off the wagon (since the holidays) with my yoga and Pilates routine, but I am so eager to get back into the swing of things -- especially since bikini season is almost here.
I took Palmer's 7 day challenge to more luminous skin because, who doesn't want luminous skin right?! The regimen is completely planned out for AM and PM... it told me when to cleanse, moisturize, exfoliate, luminize, and when to use a mask. It felt like I was getting a customized facial every morning and night.

I've been using coconut oil to cleanse my face for a year now. I love how gentle it is on my skin and that it thoroughly removes makeup and surface bacteria, leaving my skin super clean and deeply hydrated. I love that Palmer's has created their own coconut oil cleansing balm, and the size is perfect for travel (nothing worse than lugging around my big container of coconut oil).

Palmer's Coconut Oil Formular Skin Care line consists of the following products: cleansing balm, facial moisturizer, facial scrub, luminous hydration Palmer's products are free of parabens, mineral oil, sulfates, phthalates, gluten, GMOs, and harsh chemicals. All of the ingredients are ethical and sustainable, which I love. It's non-comedogenic, hypoallergenic, and dermatologist tested -- so you know it's safe on your skin. Each product in the line contains certified organic extra virgin coconut oil, so you know you're getting the very best when it comes to coconut oil. Oh, and you can find all of these products at your local Walmart, how rad is that? So convenient!

It typically takes a few days for my skin to get accustomed to any new products that I introduce into my routine. I did experience a couple breakouts in the beginning, but my skin quickly repaired itself and I could see positive changes in my skin just after day 1. The dryness that I experience daily went away and my skin not only felt dewy and hydrated immediately after use, but it remained that way throughout the day which I was pleasantly surprised by.

Above is a shot of how my skin looked after day 7. I only have mascara on. My skin is not only more hydrated, but it feels tighter and smoother. The dryness has disappeared completely and my skin actually feels soft to the touch. It was so easy to follow the regimen and I'm definitely going to keep it up because I'm so pleased with the results! I feel it can only get better!! Head on over to my Instagram page for a chance to win a full-size set of Palmer’s Coconut Oil Formula facial products (MSRP: $45) for yourself! The giveaway is open to US only! xx

  1. Hi! I was browsing BRepublic and saw your photo in the white ruffle top - I decided to check out your site. Your skin looks wonderful in the pic above! I also struggled terribly with hormonal acne in my 30's (I'm 37 now). I tried tons of things and some helped a lot (Renee Rouleau skincare, eating the KS Beauty Detox recipes/etc., azelaic acid topical - still do the first two!) - but nothing really got rid of the problem. I finally read about acne blue lights, and talked to my dermatologist. I went ahead and tried one (I chose the Silk'n Blue for lots of reasons). I was in denial for a while because I didn't want to get my hopes up! But it actually worked for me. I started out using it every night for about eight weeks, and then slowly brought the frequency down. During PMS time I use it a little more, but usually only every few nights now. My skin stays perfect. Your face doesn't look like you need any suggestions anymore, so I guess it all cleared? Just in case I had to post this and pass it on. Feeling great about your skin is such a big one:) Love that top on you, btw. Take care! Jaime
