Hey loves! It's Friday (TGIF) and I have another fab giveaway for you! Get to know Lily Dawson Designs (etsy shop: HERE)! Lily's jewelry is the epitome of FUN! I'm talkin' colorful pieces that stand-out and will get you noticed!! She has jewelry made from chains, leather, studs, rhinestones -- even agate and pyrite stones! I was instantly smitten when I ran across her shop because her designs are so eclectic, much like my own personal style. Whether you're looking for a new addition to your arm candy, or that next statement piece Lily Dawson Designs is where it's at!
My Q&A with Lily Dawson (Owner/Designer):
1.) Tell us a little about Lily Dawson Designs. I started the business after my stint in fashion school in L.A. I designed my first bracelet due to the fashion draught that I experienced moving back to Missouri from Southern California. I have found a passion for creating and love trying to keep up with the ever-changing fashion industry through my creations.
2.) I know you've been creating jewelry since 2009, what would you say is a signature "Lily Dawson" piece (or a piece that has stayed in your collection since day one)? Definitely the braided leather wrap bracelets. These are what got my business started and are still to this day my top sellers.
3.) I love how bright and colorful your jewelry is -- would you say this is a direct reflection of your own personal style? I hope so! I find my personal style to be more casual, so a bright fun piece like the new Neon Navette Necklace or Kirby Necklace can easily dress up a less-fancy outfit.
4.) What inspires you to design your jewelry? I’m inspired every season by the trends I see on the runways. Industrial looks like exposed zippers and chunky heels are reflected in my chain necklaces, neons and colorblocking are obvious in many of my brighter pieces. I love looking to nontraditional areas as well, nature, materials and other non-jewelry products have inspired me in the past.
5.) What is currently your fave piece in your shop? I can’t take off the Misha Necklace in Silver. I wear it with everything. And at $35 a pop, you’ll get your money’s worth after just a few wears!
6.) What type of girl do you envision wearing your jewelry? Artistic types, people who aren’t “trendy”, but see what they wear as an extension of their personality. Those who value supporting small retailers like myself.
7.) Where do you see Lily Dawson Designs in five years, or what's your ultimate goal for your company? I’d love to get my jewelry into some more boutiques and create a strong following in the cyber-fashion world. I think that is where my target market spends their time and I’d love to reach them as best I can.
8.) If you had to leave the house with only one piece of jewelry (either from your personal collection or Lily Dawson Designs), which piece would you choose and why? Probably the Spiky Turquoise ring…layered with the chain link ring. I’m obsessed with this combination, yes, I know 2 pieces, I cheated. (HERE is a pic of what I’m talking about:
9.) Have any fave jewelry designers? Hmm…I really like what Dannijo is doing lately. I also am a huge fan of a lot of smaller etsy sellers.
10.) If you had to sum up your jewelry shop in three words or less, which three would you choose? Eclectic, Bold, Inspired

Just a quick post today! My parents are in town for a couple days, and my Mother and I are on the hunt for some dresses to wear to my brother's wedding in May -- very exciting! :) Wore this unexpected combo a couple days ago. I was inspired by this outfit by Aimee, the blogger behind SongofStyle. Loved how she paired her laid back chinos with a silk floral blouse. I knew I had similar options in my closet, so I went with it! That's part of why I love blogging so much, you get some great ideas to remix your outfits by inspiration you see from other bloggers around the world! P.S. We're seeing the RHCP's in concert tonight -- can't wait!

I found this amazing blazer a few weeks ago and I was instantly smitten! I love the baroque print and the bright colors, so reminiscent of Versace. The bright jewelry I'm donning was the perfect companions to this colorful ensemble. Wouldn't you agree? Can't wait to get extra bold with this blazer and pair it with some bright pink shorts! I'm such a collector of vintage blazers, yet I've strayed from featuring them on the blog for months. Not sure why, but I think this blazer is kicking me back in the 'blazer direction.' Blazers make it so easy to pull together a great look, and also up the chic factor {but of course}. :)
I hope everyone is having a fab week! Don't forget to enter to win a pair of chic sunnies from SunglassesShop.com HERE! {Giveaway ends Friday at 7 PM EST}
Hey loves! This weekend was incredibly relaxing for the hubby and I -- which is very needed since it always seems that we are on the go! We made it out to the beach on Saturday and enjoyed a few hours before it was overcast, but those few hours were perfect. The weather in FL is still mild with a nice breeze... I just wish it could be like this all summer but I know the heat wave and crazy high humidity will be coming soon! We snapped these shots on Sunday afternoon -- we decided to take a nice scenic drive through Clearwater after a nice lunch. These rocks seemed like the perfect spot for a photo op. ;) How pretty is the coral hue of this dress against the water? Love! The Oia Jules necklace seemed like the perfect companion as well! By the way, stay tuned for an Oia Jules giveaway soon on the blog! Make sure you're following me on Twitter & Blog Lovin' so you don't miss out on a chance to enter! xo!
